Backstage news on the condition of Roderick Strong has emerged after he was involved in a scary botch on AEW Rampage.
Strong competed on last night’s edition of Rampage where he faced off against Action Andretti. Whilst Strong came away with the victory, most viewers’ attention fell on a particular moment in the match where it seemed like he may have been injured.
At one point, Strong ran at Andretti who countered with a Spanish Fly that unfortunately went awry. Strong didn’t manage to make the full rotation and landed directly on his head and neck, causing the crowd and even the announcers to cry out with concern.
Andretti attempted a pin to try and cover it up but the referee ignored it and attempted to check on Strong, who was clutching at his head. The match continued with Strong picking up the victory shortly after.
Thankfully, it’s since been reported by Bryan Alvarez that Strong is okay and miraculously suffered no injuries. Earlier today, Strong himself seemingly commented on the botch, posting “Can’t keep me down. #NeckStrong” in response to a clip of him returning to his feet afterward.

Who Is Roderick Strong Married To?
Roderick Strong is married to fellow AEW and ROH star Marina Shafir. The two got engaged in December 2015 before marrying almost three years later in November 2018.
Shafir has been busy as of late teaming with her best friend and former WWE star Ronda Rousey. The two most recently competed together last night against Athena and Billie Starkz in what was Ronda Rousey’s surprise debut in Ring of Honor.
