CM Punk Left AEW All In By Choice

CM Punk makes his AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door entrance

CM Punk was not escorted out of Wembley Stadium by security.

Just as the main All In card went on the air, news of unrest had already started to circulate online. Following Jack Perry making a remark about real glass being used in his pre-show match against HOOK, Perry and Punk reportedly got involved in another altercation in the backstage area shortly before Punk was due to make his entrance. As the night went on, a further report would be published that stated that Perry was asked to leave the building following the events that took place.

Punk’s match would take place after Perry’s, as the former AEW Champion would open the main show in his match against Samoa Joe. After the Best in the World was victorious against his long-time rival, it was reported that Punk was met with security backstage, escorted to his dressing room and also asked to leave the arena. However, new information that has come to light suggests that not all the reported events that happened to Punk are actually correct.

As reported by Nick Hausman, when Perry made his way backstage after his match, Punk approached him and asked if there was something to discuss. The conversation quickly escalated and Perry retorted to Punk that he should “do something about it.” The two men then shoved each other and Punk put Perry in a chokehold to attempt to neutralise the situation. There were no punches thrown by either wrestler.

When Punk made his way back to his dressing room he spoke with security and was told that he was not being asked to leave, but things would likely be easier if he did. Punk did leave on his own accord and met up with wrestlers after the show, buying some of them Nandos.

The report concludes by stating that little to no communication has been made between Punka and the company since the incident, and Punk’s involvement at All Out in Chicago is said to be up in the air.

Why Are CM Punk And Jack Perry At Odds

The disagreements between Punk and Perry began when Perry was present during a Collision taping. It was reported that Perry wanted to use real glass for a spot on the show, but Punk and multiple members of the backstage team protested to prioritise safety. It was at this point that Perry apparently “threw a temper tantrum” over not getting his way.
