Update On Suprising Agreement Between CM Punk & The Young Bucks

CM Punk AEW Collision

If you’re wondering why CM Punk only called out Hangman Adam Page during his post-AEW Collision promo, there’s a standing reason why.

Punk had some words regarding Hangman Page for the fans in attendance at Collision in Greensboro, NC, putting his merch-selling ability into question. However, two names that he left unscatched were The Young Bucks. Matt and Nick Jackson were not mentioned and that’s because of an agreement between the two parties where neither will call out one another on television. Punk did make note their “heart and soul” line from Dynamite, but no names were uttered Dave Meltzer noted that the agreement is still standing, but it doesn’t involve Hangman Page.

CM Punk Did Reference The Young Bucks Previously

In his return promo on the first episode of AEW Collision, CM Punk slyly did make reference to The Young Bucks by stating the head of WBD labeled him as “1 Bill Phil” while the remainder were “counterfeit Bucks.” This line was reportedly approved by everyone backstage beforehand.

This past Saturday wasn’t the first time Punk disparaged Hangman Page since his return either. Just days before Collision debuted, Punk had an interview with ESPN where he referenced Page and the problems they’ve had between one another.

Page did show up to Collision for tapings, but was reportedly told to go elsewhere. After Punk made his comments on Page, he reportedly regretted how they came across and that he’s open to patching things up with “The Elite” in the grand scheme of it all.
