Hangman Adam Page Not Being At AEW Collision Had ‘Zero’ To Do With CM Punk

Not all was reportedly as it seemed behind the scenes with CM Punk and Hangman Adam Page.

While Hangman Page was not at the building in Greensboro, NC for AEW Collision, it doesn’t necessarily mean the former AEW World Heavyweight Champion was forbidden to enter. According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Page was not “removed” from the arena, but it simply was just a location of where his pre-tape was going to be.

Johnson added that the belief is that those looking to knock Punk where making the connection to his promo after Collision and Page not being at the venue.

CM Punk Contacted Adam Page After Collision

According to the same sources for PWInsider, CM Punk reportedly texted Hangman Page an apology after Collision on Saturday for how his promo came across. However, there was no word if the two shared correspondence otherwise, just that an apology was sent.

Word is that Punk has been open to making amends with The Elite, however, that feeling hasn’t been reciprocated and what Punk has said since coming back has not endeared him any more to the AEW EVPs and Page.

PWInsider did happen to confirm that Christopher Daniels not being allowed backstage is 100% due to Ace Steel not being allowed backstage as both were on opposite sides of the line during the infamous “Brawl Out” moment. Punk has dug his heels in with this one as he doesn’t deem it fair to allow Daniels around if Steel isn’t either.

CM Punk has also recently had a run-in with Jack Perry, which apparently led to Perry “throwing a temper tantrum” backstage.
