More information has been provided on the reason why Bray Wyatt has been absent from WWE.

It was reported that Wyatt has been nearing a return following a lengthy battle with an undisclosed illness. In a follow-up post from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the nature of the illness has been described as “both career and life-threatening.” However, the condition of the former WWE Champion does now appear to be improving.

As stated in the original report, creative ideas have been pitched for as early as September, but this will be entirely dependent on whether or not Wyatt will be cleared by this point. The process has been understandably cautious throughout, prioritising the health of Wyatt over anything else.

How Did Bray Wyatt Return To WWE?

The Eater of Worlds had one of the most elaborate and creative returns in company history. Following the song “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane being played at a series of non-televised events, QR codes would gradually start to appear on weekly programming, giving hints of an impending return.

The culmination of the series of images and videos would be seen at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event. Following the conclusion of the main event, the lights would go out in the arena and The Firefly Funhouse would come to life. Lifesized versions of the puppets would begin to appear in the crowd, ending with Wyatt walking through a door to stand on the stage.

Inside The Ropes would like to wish Bray Wyatt a full and speedy recovery.
