The Undertaker Helped Kane Find Historic WWE Ring Gear

Is Wrestling Fake? The Undertaker and Kane

Ever since making his debut at Badd Blood: In Your House in 1997, Kane’s career has been inextricably linked to that of The Undertaker. Arriving in the WWE as Undertaker’s brother who was believed to be dead, the two would have a bitter feud that involved setting their parents’ graves on fire before eventually finding common ground as the Brothers of Destruction.

Both men are deserving inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame, with Kane entering first in 2021, followed by his on-screen brother who entered as part of the class of 2022.

The Undertaker Visited Kane’s House To Relive Old Memories And Find Vintage WWE Merchandise

During a 2021 appearance on WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures, host AJ Francis (now known as Hit Row’s Top Dolla) brought The Undertaker to Kane’s house in search of rare memorabilia from The Big Red Machine’s career. The real life Glenn Jacobs proved to have a treasure trove in his attic, having held on to his original cape, an early mask, and numerous other parts of WWE history.

Undertaker was amazed at the condition of his on-screen brother’s collection, noting that he wished he’d taken better care of his own gear over the years.

Another fascinating piece of Jacobs’ collection was the original mask he wore as Unabomb in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. They also found the gauntlet he wore during his time as this character, an item Jacobs said he painted himself as he didn’t have the money to hire anyone to help with the artwork at the time. While AJ Francis originally offered him $2000 for the Unabomb set, Jacobs eventually agreed to the price of $4000. Proceeds from the show go to charity.

After taking the mask to a WWE historian, it was determined that while it was not the original mask Kane wore for his 1997 debut, it was the second version of the mask, which is still a highly valued item and vital piece of WWE history. In the end, Jacobs agreed to let go of the mask in addition to his Unabomb gear for a total of $10,000 to be donated to a children’s charity.
