WWE doesn’t think how AEW opens their Title Tuesday Dynamite will compare to what they open NXT with.
Haus Of Wrestling reported earlier on Tuesday that WWE wants to send AEW a message of hiearchy with their episode of NXT tonight, making it clear to Tony Khan’s company that they have a long way to go at reaching WWE’s status. Now a new ripple to that message reportedly crossed through Haus Of Wrestling later today. Managing Editor Nick Hausman states that his source in the company who is close to NXT said that whatever AEW opens Dynamite with will not compare to what NXT opens with.
Since posting this earlier today, I had a source in WWE close to NXT tell me, "What we open with and what they open with won't compare."

That tease could mean many things as WWE has some major acts set to cross through Shawn Michael’s brand tonight including John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Asuka and Paul Heyman. What also shouldn’t be dismissed is the potential appearance of The Undertaker, who has reportedly been scheduled to appear at the show, has worked out at the WWE Performance Center and who John Cena referenced on social media Tuesday.
Tony Khan Has Taken His Digs At WWE & NXT In Hype For Dynamite
Tony Khan hasn’t been shy to retaliate in the war of words on social media. On the eve of his birthday, the AEW President fired off several shots in his competitor’s direction, mocking the follicle count of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, but also taking a dig at Vince McMahon and his “alleged misdeeds.”
Khan will be celebrating his birthday in a big way tonight as Adam Copeland will be making his in-ring debut with AEW.
