Cody Rhodes Dominates Merchandise Sales; Outperforms Frequent Top Seller

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes‘ WWE merchandise sales are nothing short of impressive.

Since making his return to the company in 2022, Cody Rhodes has established himself as one of the top stars in WWE. According to a new report from Fightful Select, his merchandise sales prove his stardom as he’s been the top seller at recent live events, even outselling generic WWE merch, which is a rarity as the generic merchandise includes WWE logo apparel, event-specific merch, and even title belts.

Fightful notes that Rhodes is particularly successful when it comes to selling weight belts, which are a high ticket item. All of his merchandise has reportedly done well since his return to WWE.

Continuing, the report states that there have been a couple of times that John Cena has outsold Rhodes at these events, but generally Rhodes, Cena, and generic merchandise top the list of sales at live events.

In a new update, WWE has released the top 10 merchandise sellers of 2023.

Cody Rhodes Recently Won Tag Team Gold

Fastlane saw Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso face Finn Balor and Damian Priest face off for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. JD McDonagh, still attempting to earn his way into The Judgment Day, attempted to help but ended up accidentally hitting Priest in the knee with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Priest was unable to make the save when Rhodes scored a pinfall victory on Finn Balor, making himself and Uso the new champions.

However, their title reign was short-lived. On the October 16th episode of Raw, The Judgment Day members were able to regain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships in the main event.

Cody Rhodes humorously addressed his and Jey Uso’s antics at the Fastlane press conference in a recent interview.

Rhodes is scheduled to be one of many stars to travel overseas next year as WWE has announced when they will return to the UK.
