Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso had a memorable night at WWE Fastlane, where they emerged victorious over The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and Damian Priest) to become the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. However, it was their antics at the Fastlane Press Conference that stole the show.
Admitting to having a few drinks before the event, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso entertained the audience with their jokes and overall presence. Cody, in an interview with WWE Die Woche, reflected on the press conference, calling it a top ten moment of his career.
Well, afterwards, I told Jey, ‘That might have been a top ten moment of my career.’
During the press conference, Cody and Jey enjoyed themselves, taking their time to bask in the attention of the media. Cody mentioned that the reporters were more focused on observing them rather than asking questions.
One of the things you can’t see in the press conference is that the media wasn’t really asking…they were just kind of ogling us, and they’re normally a little bit quicker with the questions.
He appreciated the opportunity to let his guard down and have a candid conversation with the media. However, Cody acknowledged that he might not be able to top that press conference and might take a different approach in the future, possibly coming in with technical information or statistics.
A lot of the humour and what was happening, we were just lingering on it. You’ve seen the video; I have no defence for the video other than we were having a great time. I don’t know if I can top it, press conference-wise, I don’t know if I want to try to top it. Next time, I’m just coming in with a sheet of paper, maybe reading some stats or some technical information.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso unfortunately lost their WWE Tag Team Titles that they won at WWE Fastlane on the October 16th episode of WWE Raw to Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor, meaning they only held the titles for just nine days.
