Jade Cargill Is “Vince McMahon’s Perfect Wrestler” – Matt Hardy

Jade Cargill

Matt Hardy is among those expecting big things from Jade Cargill.

On September 26th, WWE officially announced the signing of Cargill, confirming the former AEW star had penned a “multi-year” deal. Since leaving AEW, Cargill has been working out at the Performance Center, although there’s no word on when she’ll make her on-screen debut for the company.

The signing of Cargill was treated like major news and a number of key WWE figures were quick to welcome her onboard.

Speaking on his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the tag team star said that WWE had handled her arrival perfectly.

“It’s a good call. There’s a ton of untapped potential in here, it’s gonna be really interesting to see how it plays out. WWE is trying to treat her like a star, they’re trying to give her the biggest boost possible to really have her blast off into superstardom and they’re doing it the right way.”

Hardy added that Cargill left AEW at the perfect moment, and in just about the best way possible.

“She left AEW at the optimal time when you think about it, she had this big push, she had been undefeated, she had one loss, she went away for a while, came back and then she announces to management that she’s going to go to WWE. She has one more loss, and then off to WWE. She’s leaving about as unblemished as you can leave.”

With regard to her chances of success in WWE, Hardy believes Cargill is everything that Vince McMahon looks for in a performer.

“She has the look of the star. When it comes to a female wrestler, she’s Vince McMahon’s perfect wrestler. Vince would love that look I can tell you, big, pretty girl who’s pretty, muscular and athletic. It’s going to be really interesting to see how it goes.

One thing I’m interested in is to see how her work translates into longer matches, like if she’s doing main events as opposed to shorter matches.

I think that’s going to be the determining factor, if she can go and produce those great, long, and competitive main event matches. That’s going to be the point where she has to prove herself more than anywhere else.”

In a more recent episode, Matt Hardy believes that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns will happen at WrestleMania.

Shawn Michaels Talks Up Jade Cargill

During a recent media call ahead of NXT No Mercy, Shawn Michaels was asked for his thoughts on Jade Cargill’s signing. The NXT boss said that landing Cargill was “huge” for WWE, and although he’d only seen her work close up for a few days, he could see what the buzz was all about.
