Shawn Michaels believes that Jade Cargill will be right at home in WWE.
Cargill became the first signing under the TKO Holdings umbrella on September 26th, signing a multi-year deal with WWE. The company posted updates of the start of the former AEW star’s journey throughout the day, including a video of her walking into the Performance Center and releasing images of her first day of training.
Michaels was asked about his thoughts on the new signing while appearing on the media call ahead of NXT No Mercy. The Vice President of Talent Development Creative said that he has met Jade Cargill and looks forward to witnessing the next stage of her wrestling career:
“Huge, obviously,” he said of her signing. “I think you can tell by this week, just the enormity of her signing. I got to meet with her briefly. Unbelievably, wonderful young lady. Very pleasant young lady. A few days here training, a hard worker. I’ll tell you what, I certainly understand the buzz. She’s an awesome specimen. A striking young lady and such a presence about her. I feel like that is something, she is a young lady tailor-made for the WWE and I think she has an incredibly bright future here, whoever gets her.
If Cargill calls NXT her new home, Michaels stated that he would be happy to have her on the brand and what the plans would be if it became a reality:
I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I wouldn’t love to have her here in NXT, but wherever she ends up, I have no doubt that she’s going to have great success. If she’s here with us, it’s going to be like it always is, we’re going to utilize her to the best of our ability, try to make it an enjoyable experience for her. She’s looking at what I think is going to be a fantastic experience here in the WWE.
Which WWE Brand Will Jade Cargill Wrestle On?
It remains a mystery which night of the week fans will see Cargill in action, with only a select few knowing the truth. Prior to the arrival of Cargill being made official, it was reported that Jade Cargill would be going straight to Raw or SmackDown.
