Brock Anderson‘s AEW contract is set to expire in just a matter of days and Arn Anderson remains optimistic.

Speaking on the latest episode of ARN, The Enforcer was asked by co-host Paul Bromwell if his son Brock Anderson has re-signed with AEW and the wrestling legend gave everyone an exact date when Brock’s deal is done.

“Not yet. It’s up at the end of the month … end of August.

“So we will see. I hope so. You know, he’s one of those guys guys like him and [Hook] and a lot of young talent that has a lot to offer, just haven’t had a chance yet. I hope things work out and we’re able to stay.”

Brock Anderson has been signed with AEW since early 2021 and made his first appearance on television that June as a member of The Nightmare Family.

Arn Anderson Knows Brock Anderson Is Built For Wrestling

Earlier on in the episode, Anderson and Bromwell talked about Brock’s match against Luchasaurus and Arn made clear that he saw no fear in Brock’s eyes, a great reason for that is the passion he has for the business.

“You know, here’s a guy that’s had 40 matches or 45 or whatever he’s had. That’s not a lot. He just wants to be a part of the company. I would love to see him get more plugged in. Just if nothing else, just get to wrestle more at the shows, even if it’s dark matches in front of live crowds … he loves the business. He’s a smart kid. You can sit down and talk business with him. And he’s like talking to a guy that’s had 10 years experience. Of course, he grew up around myself and Flair. A lot of smart guys.”

Brock’s career in the business may still be in its early stages, but he’s had his share of high-profile fights. Brock once fought Malakai Black in the main event of AEW Dynamite, he’s also tagged with Cody Rhodes and later formed an independant tag team with Brian Pillman Jr. The two actually teamed up to face Ricky & Kerry Morton at Ric Flair’s Last Match, representing The Four Horsemen.
