Rick Boogs, Elias And Top Dolla Released By WWE

Elias plays a song to WWE.

Elias, Rick Boogs, and Aliyah are among the latest stars to be released by WWE.

WWE began September 21st by announcing the company had agreed a new deal to take SmackDown back to the USA Network, but it seems that the company still has an eye on cutting costs.

Aliyah took to social media to announce her departure, and it’s been reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that Monday Night Raw stars Rick Boogs and Elias have also been released. All three performers have found their screen time limited in recent months. Boogs has since claimed that a “political power play” is to blame for his departure.

In a new update, it’s also been confirmed that Madcap Moss and Top Dolla have also been released.

In the days following his release, Top Dolla revealed that he and Michael Cole were considering having a match together at one point where Cole would have beaten the Hit Row member!

New Round Of WWE Releases Take Effect

The departures come after Emma and Mustafa Ali announced their WWE own releases.

Ali’s exit caught many fans by surprise with the star currently advertised to wrestle Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Title at No Mercy. Meanwhile, Emma’s release comes just hours after she expressed excitement at the news WWE will be returning to Australia for Elimination Chamber in February 2024.

Following WWE’s merger with UFC talent releases were expected as the sports entertainment giant looks to cut costs. Less than a week ago WWE let go more than 100 employees causing morale within the company to take a major hit.
