WWE is making more cuts to its workforce.

Ahead of WWE merging with UFC to form TKO Group on September 12th, it was reported that massive employee cuts were on the horizon. Sure enough, more than 100 people were let go on September 15th.

On September 21st, the massive cuts hit the company’s talent roster as Dolph Ziggler, Elias, Dana Brooke, and multiple others found themselves being handed their walking papers. The next day, Matt Riddle announced that he was also gone from the company.

Now, according to a new report from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, more staff cuts took place on December 1st. Thurston wrote:

“WWE has laid off more corporate employees today, according to multiple people at the company. This follows layoffs of more than 100 employees in September following the closing of the TKO merger.”

NXT Announcer McKenzie Mitchell Among WWE Releases

Though Thurston’s report did not contain any specific names of the individuals let go from WWE today, McKenzie Mitchell took to social media to reveal that she was among those released from their contracts. She posted a positive message along with a link to her Headline by MM jewelry business.

Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for @wwenxt (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in “when door closes, another opens.”

Mitchell served in a variety of roles in WWE, most recently acting as a backstage interviewer in NXT. She and NXT announcer Vic Joseph announced their engagement in November of 2021 and the couple were married in September of 2022.
