Jim Cornette Blasts AEW Star For Being A “Black Hole of Charisma”

The House of Black are currently reigning champions in AEW, but Jim Cornette isn’t a fan of the group’s leader.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the legendary manager opened up about his feelings on the group, praising both Julia Hart and Buddy Matthews.

“I will make two comments, one Julia Hart, what a f*cking look. I wish she wasn’t with the House of Black because they are the sh*ts as a group, but Julia Hart looks like a star. Poor Buddy, as we mentioned, as a heel with a gimmick and as a manager, you could make a fortune with that guy, because he’s athletic and looks great.”

However, Cornette isn’t nearly as fond of the work of group leader Malakai Black, saying he not only has no charisma himself, but also negatively affects his fellow performers.

“And he is stuck with Malakai Black, who apparently they named him that because he’s a black hole of charisma. He not only has none, but he sucks the charisma from those around him, and the other guy, that’s another fat tattooed f*cking guy. But anyway, this match took 12 minutes of TV time plus the entrances. So Pockets [Orange Cassidy] on another string of being on our screen every f*cking week because the owner dresses up like him at Halloween.”

Malakai Black Is One Third Of The AEW Trios World Champions

Cornette mentioned Orange Cassidy in reference to the House of Black’s title defense against Cassidy and Best Friends on the April 5th episode of Dynamite. Despite the return of Trent’s mother Sue driving the group into the arena in her signature minivan, House of Black were victorious, continuing their title reign.

The trio became champions at Revolution on March 5th, where Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King teamed up to defeat The Elite’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, who were in their second reign as champions after being forced to relinquish the titles in the aftermath of All Out.
