WWE Announces Injury To Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens makes entrance on WWE SmackDown

WWE has announced that Kevin Owen is on the injured list.

On the December 1st edition of SmackDown, Kevin Owens faced Grayson Waller in singles action. Austin Theory got involved in the bout, stamping on Owens’ right hand against the ring steps. This led to Waller targeting the hand for the rest of the match. However, it wasn’t enough to keep the Prizefighter down as Owens pulled off a victory with a roll-up using his left hand.

Following the show, WWE released a digital exclusive showing Owens going for an x-ray on his hand. The results were revealed on December 2nd, with the company announcing the star had sustained multiple fractures.

“UPDATE: @fightowensfight has sustained an injury, fracturing his 4th and 5th metacarpal during #SmackDown last night.”

The injury is likely to simply be part of Owens’ storyline with Logan Paul. Earlier in the night, Paul announced a tournament to decide the next challenger for his United States Title. Owens interrupted the star to tell him he will win not only win the tournament, but take the title.

Paul was then on commentary for Owens’ match against Waller, mocking him the whole time.

Kevin Owens Names The Best Wrestler In The World

During a recent interview, Kevin Owens named a surprising star as the best wrestler in the world. The star claimed that Sami Zayn is the best he has been in the ring with, whether that be as an opponent or tag team partner.

“Very few people have it all, like he does. I’m very lucky that he happens to be my wrestling brother for the last 20 years or so, maybe more at this point. He influenced me a lot and I got to learn a lot from him. “

In more unfortunate injury news, a match at WWE NXT Deadline has been changed.
