Adam Cole Gives Heartfelt Update Following Ankle Surgery

Adam Cole has thanked the fans for all of their support.

Following a broken ankle suffered at AEW Grand Slam, Adam Cole confirmed that he will require two surgeries and on a Twitch stream described the injury as the most painful one of his entire career.

Cole has since undergone surgery and will be unable to compete for an extended period of time. Fans have made it very apparent that they want the best for Cole and have sent many messages of support.

In response to the kind words from the fans, Cole has given a statement on social media saying that he will do all he can to get back to 100% as quickly as possible:

Emotionally, this has been the most challenging injury of my career. Without question. Thank you to EVERYONE who has reached out & shown support. Means more than you know. I will do everything in my power to get back to work doing what I love to do. Because I’m #AdamColeBayBay

Still reigning as the ROH Tag Team Champion alongside MJF, Cole’s injury threw the status of the title match at the next pay-per-view. into doubt. Refusing to relinquish the titles, MJF defended both ROH Championships alone at WrestleDream.

Adam Cole Remains On TV

Despite the injury, Cole has frequently appeared on weekly programming. Celebrating MJF’s victory at Grand Slam, the Brochachos were seen relaxing on a boat when MJF questioned why Cole took so long to come to ringside, almost betraying his best friend in the process.

The weeks following would see Cole star in a series of vignettes alongside Roderick Strong and The Kingdom, with the trio doing all they could to keep Cole away from his best friend. Cole finally snapped on October 18th, storming out of the Strong household.

Inside The Ropes would like to wish Adam Cole a full and speedy recovery.
