Kevin Nash Reveals Which WWE Match He Hated Most: “It P*ssed Me Off”

Kevin Nash Reveals Which WWE Match He Hated Most:

Kevin Nash did not like ladder matches.

The ladder match itself is a dangerous stipulation for any wrestler at any stage of their career. Along with the risks of falling from a great height, the ladder itself is frequently known not to play ball and can cause injuries from buckling under pressure or flying in the wrong direction. Ruthless Aggression Era fans will remember what happened to Joey Mercury at Armageddon 2006 all too well.

Luckily for Nash, the Hall of Famer managed to avoid stipulation matches for the most part, only having one Steel Cage, one Hell in a Cell and one Elimination Chamber match in his career. Returning in 2011 for one final run and in his 50s, the former World Champion was booked in a Sledgehammer Ladder match against longtime friend Triple H, which was Nash’s first and only ladder match.

Speaking on Kliq This, Nash revealed that he was not happy about being in the match due to his increased age, not having a lot of time to figure out what to do and not being in peak physical condition:

“Because he [Triple H] was so involved with the creative of everything, and I [had] never had a ladder match … duh. I was like 55 years old, I had had 15,000 knee operations … we got maybe an hour to walk out and put something together. There were ladders we had to use, and I’m not just a gimmick match kind of guy. That pissed me off.”

The match took place at the TLC pay-per-view and saw Triple H be victorious after striking Nash in the head with the sledgehammer.

In a more recent edition of his podcast, Kevin Nash explained why he never wrestled CM Punk in WWE.

Will Kevin Nash Return To WWE Again?

Following an episode of Kliq This where Nash gave his thoughts on Jade Cargill signing with WWE, some misinterpreted the Hall of Famer’s comments and thought that he had also signed a new deal with the company. Setting the record straight, Kevin Nash gave a new update about his WWE status.
