Triple H Praises Randy Orton Over WWE Comeback

Triple H is happy to see Randy Orton back inside a WWE ring.

In May 2022, Orton was written off TV after he was attacked by The Usos following Jimmy and Jey unifying the Tag Team Championships. It would later be reported that The Viper was suffering from a back injury that appeared to be career-ending, as doctors advised Randy Orton to never wrestle again.

With Orton a part of the company for over 20 years and with nothing left to prove, many fans made peace with the fact that they would never see Orton hit an RKO ever again. However, things would change in the run-up to Survivor Series.

With Cody Rhodes teasing that he had found an extra ally for WarGames, The Apex Predator made his long-awaited return at Survivor Series, which was very well received by the fans. As heard in the press conference after the show went off the air, the Chief Content Officer was too.

Addressing a variety of topics, Triple H then addressed the return of his former Evolution ally. The Game, who addressed his own physical and mental struggles with injuries, stated how happy he was to see Orton back:

“Just incredibly proud of Randy Orton, and when you have the kind of injury he had where things are touch and go, I’ve been there. Where they tell you, ‘You might never do this again.’ That’s a rough experience to be on the fight back. What he went through, to be able to have what he had done, and to be able to come back here tonight and have the moment that he had was just awesome.

I’m so happy for him to come here, do what he did tonight, and it sounds silly, but as it being WarGames, sort of the pressure being off him a little bit to come back and be able to just be Randy Orton and do what he needs to do.”

Triple H Gives Insight In Booking Philosophies

Now firmly in charge of creative, Paul Levesque has experienced the challenges of booking weekly main roster television as opposed to NXT. In an interview prior to Survivor Series, Triple H recalled the lessons he was taught by Vince McMahon on the matter.
