Former WWE & ECW Superstar Justin Credible has called for CM Punk to shock the world by returning to the WWE tonight at the companies Payback PLE just hours after being released by AEW.
On September 2nd 2023, ‘Real’ World Champion CM Punk was released from AEW following an internal investigation into an alleged physical confrontation between Punk and Jack Perry backstage at All In.
Following the news of CM Punk’s AEW departure social media has gone into overdrive speculating on the future of ‘The Second City Saint’ and if we could possibly see Punk possibly make a shock return to the WWE.
Former WWE Superstar Justin Credible has weighed in on discussions stating that “the time to strike is now” for the WWE and that the company should be looking for CM Punk to make his return tonight just hours after his AEW release.
The eight time WWE Hardcore Champion would admit that a no compete clause could hamper this possibility but states that CM Punk returning at WWE’s Payback PLE would “blow the roof of the building & the business.”
Taking to Twitter, Credible would write:
“The time to strike would be now!! CM Punk on Payback tonight. That would blow the roof of the building & the business. I’m sure there’s no compete clauses but still.”
Credible is not the only former WWE talent commenting on Punk’s AEW departure, WWE Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff has praised Tony Khan for making the right call and firing CM Punk.
In recent news, Andrade El Idolo has paid tribute to CM Punk following Punk’s firing from AEW.
