Bray Wyatt No Longer Listed On WWE Roster

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt’s absence from WWE continues, and according to a new report, he’s nowhere to be found on internal documents following the WWE Draft.

After being released from the company in July of 2021, rumors of his return began when mysterious QR codes began to pop up on WWE’s programming in late 2022. The codes led fans to online clues featuring a white rabbit that alluded to Wyatt’s past, leading many fans to believe he was on his way back to the company.

Sure enough, he made a grand entrance at Extreme Rules, and in the following weeks fans were introduced to the mysterious Uncle Howdy, who regularly confronted Wyatt on television. It’s unclear what the relationship between the two characters was supposed to be, but Howdy featured heavily in Wyatt’s presentation, even appearing atop a podium during Wyatt’s Pitch Black match with LA Knight and diving onto Knight in front of the San Antonio crowd.

While he wrestled on a number of live events, his match against Knight at the Royal Rumble would prove to be his only match broadcast on WWE programming before he disappeared again.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39, Wyatt announced that he wanted to face the winner of the bout between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber. Lashley emerged victorious in the bout when Lesnar was disqualified after hitting a low blow, and Wyatt began to build his feud with Lashley on television in the following weeks.

However, amidst reports of an undisclosed illness, Wyatt disappeared from television shortly after Elimination Chamber, leaving his WrestleMania status heavily in doubt. WWE was said to have a “backup plan” in place in case Wyatt was unable to appear, but when it came time for the blockbuster event in Los Angeles, Lashley was left without a match and instead appeared in front of the audience to celebrate his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy win.

Bray Wyatt Was Not Part Of The WWE Draft

The WWE Draft took place on April 28th and May 1st, and while the new rosters have took effect following Backlash on May 6th, Wyatt’s name was not assigned to Raw or SmackDown, nor was he declared a free agent.

According to a new update from PWInsider Elite, Wyatt is no longer listed on WWE’s internal roster “in any fashion.” At the time of this writing his profile is still listed on WWE.com as an active Superstar, but the report indicates that the company is not factoring him into plans at this time.
