Major Update On Bray Wyatt’s WWE Future

Bray Wyatt

Since returning to WWE on October 8th, 2022 at Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt has only wrestled one match on WWE television.

In fact, he has only wrestled 12 matches in total during this period, with the last of these coming in February.

The star hasn’t appeared on WWE television in person since the February 17th episode of SmackDown where he announced he would be coming for the winner of the match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley 24 hours later at Elimination Chamber.

At the event, Lashley scored the win and a storyline with Waytt began with the latter tormenting the star in a series of video packages. However, in the lead-up to WrestleMania 39, the story was dropped and it was reported that Waytt was suffering from an undisclosed illness.

Since WrestleMania little has been known about Wyatt’s condition, but his name came back into the news with the WWE Draft. When WWE released the list of Superstars eligible to be drafted, Wyatt’s name was missing, sparking speculation about his future once more.

Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful Select has reported that as of WrestleMania weekend, Wyatt is still overcoming an illness, and hasn’t been factored into creative plans. Despite his absence, those close to Wyatt noted that he is excited to return to action whenever he’s able.

Brock Lesnar Refused Match With Bray Wyatt

In the lead-up to WrestleMania 39, it was reported that Brock Lesnar turned down a match with Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania meaning the finish of his match at Elimination Chamber with Lashley was changed.

This set up the feud between Lashley and Wyatt and Lesnar entered a feud with Omos.
