Carlito is back in WWE and he made an instant impact!
On the October 6th episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio took on Bobby Lashley in a losing effort, but the biggest story was outside the ring. The Street Profits took out Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde and it was later confirmed by Mysterio that they wouldn’t be able to be at Fastlane.
Seemingly stuck in a corner, Mysterio said he needed to make a call, and it turned out that call was to former United States Champion Carlito.
At Fastlane, Mysterio and Escobar initially tried to take the fight to Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits, but the numbers disadvantage proved too much. Escobar was taken out early in the match, and although Mysterio fought back, he was left with no one to tag.
Sensing his moment, Carlito sprinted to the ring to a huge ovation and got the hottest of hot tags. After hitting everything that moved, he even picked up the win, delivering a Backstabber to Montez Ford.
It’s since been reported that Carlito will be joining the SmackDown brand.
Carlito Shocked WWE Fans At Backlash
Carlito shocked Puerto Rico at WWE Backlash when he came to the aid of Bad Bunny and the LWO as they battled Damian Priest and Judgment Day. In front of a raucous crowd, the Hip Hop megastar overcame Priest in a wild Street Fight which saw Judgment Day, the LWO, and even Savio Vega all make appearances.
It was reported back in June that Carlito had re-signed with the company.
