Carlito

At WWE Fastlane 2023 Carlito made his long-awaited return to the company.

The former Intercontinental Champion made a surprise comeback to help Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar defeat the trio of Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.

It had been reported for several months that the former WWE Superstar was in line for a return having re-signed with the company. Carlito shocked Puerto Rico at WWE Backlash when he came to the aid of Bad Bunny and the LWO as they battled Damian Priest and Judgment Day. The appearance led to speculation that he would be returning to WWE full-time, but his comeback was saved for another Latino World Order moment.

As well as the amazing moment, Carlito’s comeback also ended an impressive streak. Carlito’s return saw Bobby Lashley suffer his first defeat in 148 days. Before Fastlane Lashley hadn’t lost since May 12th, 2023 when he was defeated by AJ Styles in the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi Finals.

When Was Carlito Originally With WWE?

Carlito, the son of Puerto Rican legend and WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colón, originally signed with WWE in 2003 and debuted on the main roster a year later.

The star remained with the company until he was released in 2010, racking up United States, Intercontinental and World Tag Team Title wins in the process.

Carlito made a surprise appearance during the 2021 men’s Royal Rumble match at number eight. He wrestled on the following episode of Raw but again returned to the independent scene.

During his hiatus, he appeared on several television shows such as GLOW and The Goldbergs.
