Brock Lesnar To Miss WWE Crown Jewel 2023: Reason Revealed

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar will miss WWE Crown Jewel for the first time since the show’s inception.

Since 2018, WWE has been in an agreement with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to produce multiple shows a year, with Crown Jewel serving as a mainstay event. Former WWE and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has always been in a featured match at the event, but according to a new report from PWInsider Elite, that’s changing in 2023.

The report states that Lesnar is not factored into creative plans for the show on November 4th, and this will mark the first time he’s not involved in a Saudi Arabia PLE since the 2018 agreement. Continuing, the report notes that with the venue selling out immediately with the announcements of both John Cena and Logan Paul, WWE felt it was best to save Lesnar for another future event in the market.

With Brock Lesnar out, who is on the card for WWE Crown Jewel 2023?

The card for Crown Jewel is already starting to take shape. Following his win over Dillon Danis inside a boxing ring, Logan Paul issued a challenge to United States Champion Rey Mysterio, and Mysterio was quick to answer during an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. The two are officially set to face off in singles action for the United States Title on November 4th.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins is set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, and Roman Reigns will be challenged by rising megastar LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The full list of announced matches so far is as follows:
