Roman Reigns Not Advertised For Major WWE Show In 2024

Roman Reigns looks set to sit out another major international event in 2024.

With a return to WWE TV scheduled for the December 15th SmackDown taping, Reigns looks set to find out who will be his next challenger for the Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble. With The Tribal Chief likely to retain the title at the January Premium Live Event, the next defence appears to be at WrestleMania 40. From this point onwards, Reigns competing on the big shows in 2024 looks more uncertain than ever.

WWE has recently announced that the Backlash Premium Live Event in France will begin selling tickets in January. Along with the update, posters have been produced to advertise the go-home SmackDown and Backlash itself, which will take place on Saturday, May 4th. While top stars such as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Becky Lynch are featured, once again there is no sign of Reigns. The news comes a few weeks after Roman Reigns was also not confirmed to be a part of Bash in Berlin.

Providing that Reings does not compete on the last two episodes of SmackDown in 2023, The Head of the Table would have competed in 11 matches over the course of the year.

Unlikely Name Makes Pitch To Be Roman Reigns’ Next Challenger

With Reigns continuing to hold the Undisputed Championship since 2020 there are few names left on the main roster who could pose a legitimate threat to The Tribal Chief. However, one Superstar who is currently in NXT has beaten Roman Reigns in the past and believes that he could do it once again.
