Cody Rhodes Assesses The Probability Of MJF Joining WWE In The Future

Cody Rhodes spoke highly of the current AEW World Champion, MJF, and predicted that one day he will be known as a WWE Superstar.

Despite their history and rivalry in AEW, Cody Rhodes expressed pride in MJF’s potential and praised his professionalism and work ethic in a recent interview with Peter Rosenburg.

I think one day you will see MJF in WWE. I think one thing I’m really proud of him for is, for those who don’t know, MJF was one of my recruits. Probably the one I’m the most excited about just because [of] his potential, his personality; his overall professionalism is beaming.

Rhodes specifically mentioned MJF’s physical transformation, noting that he has put on muscle safely and gradually over the past year and a half.

One thing I’m proud of him doing is, if you notice he’s put on a lot of muscle and he’s put it on safely over the last year and a half.

Rhodes acknowledged that if MJF were to make the jump to WWE, he would have to compete against formidable opponents like Drew McIntyre, Omos, and Brock Lesnar.

But if he comes to WWE he’ll have to stand across from guys like Drew McIntyre, you have to stand across from guys like Omos. Or, gosh, Brock Lesnar.

However, it seems that MJF won’t be leaving AEW anytime soon, as he reportedly signed a new deal that will keep him with the promotion for years to come. MJF’s next AEW World Championship defence is scheduled for December 30th against Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End.

In a separate interview, Cody Rhodes named his WWE MVP of 2023.

What’s Next For Cody Rhodes?

As for Cody Rhodes himself, he is currently focused on his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and has announced his participation in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Rhodes hopes to become the fourth man to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches.
