The Great Khali Reveals He Has One More Match Left In Him

The Great Khali

The Great Khali has not retired from in-ring competition.

Making an appearance at the WWE Superstar Spectacle, the Hall of Famer addressed the live crowd in attendance in his native country of India. Khali then revealed that he has one more match left him and stated that fans should look out for an in-ring return in the near future.

Fan footage from the event captured the return of The Punjabi Nightmare:

The former World Heavyweight Champion last competed for the company in 2018 as one of 50 entrants in The Greatest Royal Rumble. Entering the match at number 45, Khali was eliminated by Bobby Lashley and eventual winner Braun Strowman. The Hall of Famer’s final singles match in WWE took place back in 2014, where Khali would lose to Rusev in one minute.

When Did The Great Khali Debut In WWE?

Following a stint in New Japan, Khali was the first Indian wrestler to be signed to a WWE contract. The Hall of Famer would debut on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 22, targeting The Undertaker. Being pushed to the top right away, Khali would defeat The Deadman at Judgment Day 2006 by pinning Taker with one foot on the chest.

Khali would become known for his signature match that took place inside a Punjabi Prison. Unable to compete in the first match due to elevated liver enzymes, Khali would debut in the bamboo cage structure at No Mercy 2007, losing to Batista. The Hall of Famer would make a surprise return at Battleground 2017 to help then WWE Champion Jinder Mahal retain the title against Randy Orton.

Khali was recognised for his in-ring contributions in 2021 when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
