Paul Wight Disgusted By Irn Bru – “I Can’t Believe It Tastes That Bad”

Paul Wight

Paul Wight is not a fan of Scotland’s other national drink.

Following a stint in the UK to promote AEW’s All In pay-per-view, it seems unlikely that Wight will be asking for a case of Irn Bru to be shipped back over to the States.

Appearing on Snack Wars alongside new Women’s Champion Saraya, The World’s Largest Athlete was asked to try a selection of popular British snacks. Beginning with popular British sweet Percy Pigs, Wight was then asked to try the popular Scottish beverage.

The AEW talent recoiled in horror upon the first try, giving a unique description of the taste:

Oh my God that is terrible. [It tastes like] vanilla vomit. I mean that is really terrible. That is horrendous I can’t believe it tastes that bad.

Off camera, it was recommended that Irn Bru be drunk when someone is really hungover. Wight was not a fan of this, suggesting what he would rather consume after one too many Glasgow Punches:

If I was hungover I would rather have a pork chop out of an ashtray. That is just, I’m amazed that this is actually a product. It’s so bad I can’t stop [drinking it]. Maybe it’s because I can’t get a taste on it. It’s like this is rotten.

For those that don’t know a Glasgow Punch is a cocktail made from rum, brandy, port wine and lemon juice.

During the show, Wight and Saraya were asked to pick their preferred drink between Irn Bru and root beer. Despite Wight stating that it was one of the worst drinks he had ever tried, he still preferred it over root beer.

Was Paul Wight At AEW All In?

Appearing on the pre-show panel to give his thoughts on the upcoming matches, Wight would also make his way down to the ring during a segment on zero-hour. Silencing Jeff Jarrett’s ranting about how American promoters are the greatest in the world, Wight would storm to the ring with Anthony Ogogo and Grado to rapturous applause from the Wembley Stadium crowd.

Also doing media ahead of the event, The World’s Largest Athlete gave his thoughts on how he thinks Vince McMahon reacted to AEW selling out Wembley Stadium in an exclusive interview with Inside The Ropes.
