Seth Rollins Pays Tribute To Bray Wyatt & Brodie Lee At WWE Live Event

Seth Rollins recently paid tribute to two wrestling legends who lost their lives far too soon.

On Sunday, December 17th, WWE presented a Holiday Tour live event in Rochester, Minnesota. The main event of the show saw Rollins defeat Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

After the match, Rollins addressed the live crowd with the lights turned down. The World Heavyweight Champion asked if there were any fireflies in the audience, to which the audience responded by lighting up the arena with their phones to join Rollins in remembering the iconic Bray Wyatt and Brodie Lee:

I know they got the lights down real low for us. The mood is set. Has anybody got any fireflies among the audience tonight? I see a couple. I see a few now.

This time of year, loved ones are always on our minds, man. You know what I’m saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Bray Wyatt tragically passed away in August 2023 aged just 36 years old. The former World Champion was widely regarded as one of the most innovative and creative individuals of the modern era, with many from the wrestling world including stories of Wyatt’s kindness as they paid tribute to the leader of the family.

Brodie Lee, known as Luke Harper in WWE, was closely connected with Wyatt throughout his time in WWE. Wanting to do more inside the ring, Lee left the company in 2019 and signed with AEW in March 2020, going on to have a career resurgence in the promotion, in particular his battles against Cody Rhodes over the TNT Championship. Brodie Lee sadly passed away on December 26, 2020 at only 41 years old. Much like Wyatt, many from the wrestling world would recount stories of how kind Lee was outside of the ring and would do anything for his family.

Rollins would face off against Wyatt and Lee on multiple occasions. To this day, many still regard the 6-man tag match between The Wyatt Family and The Shield at Elimination Chamber 2014 as one of the greatest 6-man tag matches of all time.
