Kenny Omega Set For Singles Action In AEW Canada Return

Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite

Kenny Omega will have his first singles match since October when AEW Collision returns to Canada.

On December 5th, Collision will be taped in the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Ethan Page has laid down a challenge for the Best Bout Machine to mark the occasion.

The December 2nd edition of the show saw Page talk up his recent wins on Ring of Honor. Now, he wants to use the opportunity of wrestling in Canada to check off an item on his bucket list by not only facing Omega, but defeating him to prove he is the best Canadian wrestler.

“If I want to be the king of Canada, Ethan Page is going to need his crown, but right now that crown is sitting on somebody else’s head. So, in Montreal, one on one, we’re going to find out who the best Canadian wrestler is, because I want you Kenny Omega.”

Omega responded to the challenge on social media, telling Page that he would see him in Montreal.

“A singles match?! What the? Uh, okay, sure. See you there.”

Lately, Omega has been teaming with Chris Jericho in the Golden Jets as the pair take on the Don Callis Family. The last time the star was in singles action came in October when MJF defeated him to surpass Omega’s record as the longest-reigning AEW World Champion of all time.

Ethan Page Addresses AEW Absence

Ethan Page recently explained why he doesn’t mind his absence from AEW TV. His match with Omega will be his first in AEW since he and Isiah Kassidy unsuccessfully challenged Aussie Open for the Tag Team Championships back in August.

Instead, Page has been wrestling regularly on ROH. Responding to a fan on social media, he said there will be plenty of time for him to get back on Dynamite, but for now he is on a different path.
