Logan Paul Wins First-Ever WWE Championship At Crown Jewel

Logan Paul in the ring at WWE Crown Jewel 2022

Logan Paul has captured his first-ever WWE title at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event!

Paul dethroned Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship at the show, though his victory wasn’t clean. With the help of some brass knuckles, Paul delivered a knockout punch to Mysterio, countering the West Coast Pop in the process, and pinned him to get the win.

One of Paul’s friends attempted to pass him the brass knuckles at first but Mysterio managed to inadvertently knock it out of Paul’s hand with a tackle. Paul’s friend attempted to get it once again but was stopped by Mysterio’s LWO ally Santos Escobar.

Escobar ran Paul’s friend out of the arena but also left the brass knuckles on the ring apron, allowing Paul to pick them up to secure the win.

The match marked Paul’s eighth match in WWE so far and only his second title opportunity in the promotion ever. At last year’s WWE Crown Jewel, the social media star unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

During his short WWE tenure so far, Paul has also competed in a Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank ladder match. Prior to defeating Mysterio at Crown Jewel, Paul picked up a victory over Ricochet at WWE SummerSlam in August.

Soon after his title win, Logan Paul set his sights on a new target in fellow celebrity Bad Bunny, but he has warned that rap megastar that he “don’t want this smoke.”
