Hooded Assailant Costs Damian Priest WWE World Heavyweight Championship

WWE Superstar Damian Priest

Damian Priest was just moments away from completing his destiny and become WWE World Heavyweight Champion only to be denied by a mysterious hooded assailant.

During the opening content of WWE Crown Jewel 2023 Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre.

After a brutal 18 minute contest Seth Rollins would come out on top after hitting a second Curb Stomp to defeat Drew McIntyre and extend his reigns as World Heavyweight Champion to 161 days.

Enter Damian Priest.

As Rollins celebrated in the ring to the rapturous applause of the Riyadh crowd, Señor Money in the Bank Damian Priest would charge down to the ring before declaring his intention to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Before Priest could make the match official however he was attacked by a mysterious hooded assailant.

The assailant would blindside Priest, taking him out and fleeing with the Money in the Bank briefcase before revealing themselves to be none other than ‘The Underdog from the Underground’ Sami Zayn.

Zayn would escape through the Riyadh crowd, to a monstrous reaction, with Priest’s Money in the Bank briefcase in his possession.

The former NXT Champion was already victorious earlier in the day defeating Priest’s unwilling Judgement Day associate JD McDonough during the Crown Jewel Kick-off Show with a signature Blue Thunder Bomb.
