Road Dogg On The Rise Of Will Ospreay: “He Ain’t A WWE Hall Of Famer Yet”

Dave Meltzer Awards Impact Wrestling Highest Star Rating Ever For Will Ospreay Match

Road Dogg is full of praise for Will Ospreay’s in-ring skills, but makes it clear that his career hasn’t landed him in the WWE Hall of Fame just yet.

Ahead of AEW Full Gear, Tony Khan teased that one of the best wrestlers in the world would be signing an official AEW contract at the event. On November 18th, it was revealed that Will Ospreay was the signing in question as he’d fully committed to All Elite Wrestling. Addressing the crowd on the night, Ospreay said that he needed to fulfill his remaining commitments to NJPW before coming to AEW full time, but that he was indeed All Elite.

Speaking on the latest episode of his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg was asked whether he was a better sports entertainer than Ospreay. While he believes he’s better at sports entertainment, the WWE Hall of Famer admitted that Ospreay is a much better wrestler. He also took a friendly jab at the star’s accent.

“Yes. I’m not a better wrestler than Will Ospreay, not a better professional wrestler. He can’t even speak, the English bruv.”

“That Kid Is Stinkin’ Incredible” – Road Dogg On Will Ospreay

When co-host Casio Kid pointed out that Ospreay has many years ahead of him in his career, Road Dogg joked that he’s already broken down at a young age before admitting that Ospreay is “incredible.”

“Does he? He’s broken in half, halfway, bless his heart, he’s 16 years old and already has 17 knee replacements and have them horse knees put in.

“I’m just kidding. That kid is incredible. I’m busting chops. That kid is stinkin’ incredible, and could work circles around me on my best day. I’m not saying anything like that, but the kid ain’t a WWE Hall of Famer just yet.”

According to a recent report, IMPACT Wrestling also made a massive offer to Ospreay prior to his signing with AEW.
