Tony Khan Praises AEW Pillar: “It’s Been One Of The Most Special Things I’ve Been A Part Of”

Tony Khan Praises AEW Pillar:

AEW President Tony Khan has expressed his confidence in Darby Allin‘s continued success in the wrestling ring even after Sting retires from competition next year.

Since Sting’s arrival in AEW in late 2020, he and Allin have formed a strong partnership, with Allin publicly acknowledging Sting’s unwavering support. The duo achieved victory at AEW’s largest-ever event, All In, held in August of this year at Wembley Stadium. Sting recently confirmed his retirement from in-ring competition will take place after AEW Revolution 2024, marking the end of a three-year journey with AEW since his first match in 2021.

During a media call to promote the upcoming AEW Full Gear event, Tony Khan emphasised Allin’s prior success before Sting’s arrival, stating:

Darby was on fire before Sting got here and has continued to stay on fire.

Khan also lauded Sting as a “great mentor” to Allin and expressed his confidence in Allin’s future post-Sting, highlighting the bright years ahead for the talented wrestler. Khan’s sentiments reflect his gratitude for the impactful partnership between Sting and Allin, describing it as “one of the most special things” he has been a part of.

Darby has got such a bright future, many years ahead after Sting retires, but I’m really glad that the two of them have had this great run. It’s been nearly three years now, and it’s been something I’ve really enjoyed and one of the most special things I’ve ever been a part of.
