CM Punk Set To Issue “Explosive” Response To AEW Firing

CM Punk Set To Issue

It has been reported that CM Punk is expected to make an “explosive” response to his recent AEW firing.

CM Punk’s tenure with AEW has come to an abrupt end, as announced by AEW owner Tony Khan ahead of the AEW All Out event at the United Center in Chicago.

The decision was made following a backstage altercation between Punk and Jack Perry at the All In event in Wembley Stadium. Khan revealed that an internal investigation had taken place, along with outside investigations and legal counsel, leading to the conclusion that Punk’s time with AEW had to be cut short.

This development marks a significant departure from Punk’s highly anticipated return to professional wrestling, which took place just two years ago after a seven-year hiatus from the industry. AEW fans, however, may not have heard the last of the Straight Edge Superstar.

Sports Illustrated reported that according to sources close to both sides, there is an expectation that Punk will issue a response, and it has been suggested that this response could be nothing short of “explosive.”

Punk has never shied away from being outspoken, as evidenced by his previous controversial remarks during the All Out press conference last year. During that event, he targeted various individuals, including Adam Page, AEW’s EVPs (The Elite), and Colt Cabana. Punk has been known to air his grievances publicly on social media, he has in the past expressed his dissatisfaction with Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and Dave Meltzer.

Will CM Punk Return To WWE?

Since CM Punk’s firing from AEW, fan speculation has run wild with theories on where Punk will end up, some fans have speculated that he will return to WWE, while other fans feel he could find himself back in AEW given that he was fired once before by the company only to return.
