Rhea Ripley will put the Women’s World Championship on the line at Payback.
In recent weeks Ripley has been a thorn in the side of Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. The Women’s World Champion has attacked both women at will and helped cost the pair the Women’s Tag Team Titles after assaulting Rodriguez’s knee. A week later the star did a number of Morgan, and she hasn’t been seen since.
However, Rodriguez is back, and out for revenge.
On the August 21st episode of Raw, Ripley took on Candice LeRae and demolished the star in a little over a minute. But as the champion celebrated, Rodriguez marched to the ring and attacked her rival with her crutch, before announcing she was medically cleared to wrestle. The match between the pair at Payback was then made official.
Elsewhere at the event, Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura, and Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will meet in a Cage Match.

Is Rhea Ripley Still Appearing On NXT?
While the Judgment Day’s enforcer seems to have her hands full on Raw, she’s got plenty of unfinished business in NXT. After the match between Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee ended in chaos, Ripley came to blows with Lyra Valkyria and their rivalry shows little sign of going away.
At NXT Heatwave, Rhea Ripley will team with “Dirty Dom” to take on Lee and Valkyrie.
