Earlier this year Bryan Danielson revealed that 2023 would be his last year as a full time wrestler.

After one of the most compelling professional wrestling careers in history, Danielson announced he was beginning to wind down his time in the ring. On the September 10th edition of AEW Collision, Danielson said he made a promise to his daughter that when she turns seven, he’ll start to finish up his career, and she is currently six years old.

The American Dragon has been performing for over two decades and earned the respect and admiration of fans from all over the world. So, the news was met with sadness within the wrestling community.

But, in a recent interview, Danielson gave his fans a boost when he said he doesn’t see himself ever fully retiring.

How long did Bryan Danielson say he would continue to wrestle for?

Speaking on the Maggie & Perloff radio show, Danielson stated that, despite this year being his last wrestling on a full time basis, he could see himself in action for a very long time.

I could picture myself out there, and when I say this is kind of my last — this is my last year as a full-time wrestler. I can’t envision ever stopping, and I think Ric Flair sees it the same way.

It’s such an incredible experience to go out there and do it. I’m getting to the point where my body’s breaking down a little bit. I can’t do it full-time at the level that I would like to, but I would still like to get out there every once in a while and just do it.

It’s one of my life’s passions, you know what I mean? It makes me feel alive. So, yeah, I mean, I could see myself out there at 74, just being like, “Ahhh! Come on!”
