Bryan Danielson's Status Following Injury Scare At AEW Collision Taping

A recent Bryan Danielson match has caused a lot of wrestling fans to be concerned.

The next episode of AEW Collision was pre-taped on Tuesday, December 5th and will be broadcast on December 9th. As has been seen in the past few weeks of Collision, the taping focused on the continuation of the blue league of the AEW Continental Classic tournament. Following a victory over Eddie Kingston in the first round, The American Dragon’s next opponent was Andrade El Idolo.

According to spoilers from the show and photos circulating online, Danielson was bleeding from above the eye and was checked upon by members of The Blackpool Combat Club after the match. With Danielson only recently coming back from a broken orbital bone, many were concerned that this may cause Danielson to be sidelined again and put his rematch with Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom into doubt. However, according to a new report, The Blackpool Combat Club member is ok.

As reported by Fightful Select, Danielson’s injury is all a part of the storyline and is not expected to miss any TV time. It was further reported that The American Dragon is expected to be in attendance for the December 6th taping of AEW Dynamite.

Bryan Danielson Returns Ahead Of Schedule

After suffering a broken orbital bone against El Idolo on October 21st, Danielson still competed on the following episode of Dynamite in a tag team match where he and Claudio Castagnoli faced off against Okada and Orange Cassidy, which is when the broken bone was announced in storyline. Being sidelined with injury once again, many thought that Bryan Danielson would not return until 2024, possibly at the New Japan pay-per-view. However, Danielson’s return to action would be ahead of schedule on December 2nd.

In a recent interview, Bryan Danielson stated who he wants to add to The Blackpool Combat Club.

In another new injury update, a longtime absent AEW star looks to be nearing a return.
