Kazuchika Okada Discusses Potential Rematch With Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada might not be done with Bryan Danielson just yet.

The two met at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door for the first time in a certified dream match with Bryan Danielson scoring the win. The match was billed as a clash between the two premiere wrestlers in the world, with each man trying to prove they’re the best grappler on the planet.

However, although Danielson won, he broke his arm during the match and had to improvise the finish, but still became the first man to make Okada submit in eight years.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Okada suggested that he’d be open to a rematch and even threatened to break Danielson’s other arm in the process.

“If there is a time to have a rematch, I’d like to win even if I have to break both of Danielson’s arms next time.”

Bryan Danielson To Miss AEW Blood And Guts

While the exact recovery period for Bryan Danielson’s injury is unknown, it’s been confirmed that he’ll miss Blood and Guts on July 19th when the Blackpool Combat Club takes on The Elite.

The American Dragon won’t be the only star missing the match either, with Eddie Kingston away in Japan competing in the G1 Climax Tournament. The two mystery partners will be announced on the July 12th episode of Dynamite.

Incredibly, Wheeler Yuta is also reportedly racing to be fit for the match, having suffered a hamstring injury during a recent bout with Kenny Omega. However, it’s believed that Yuta will be ready to compete in on July 19th.
