Being The Elite Ends After Seven-Year Run; No Plans For Return

The Elite, who hosted Being The Elite, making their entrance in AEW

Being The Elite, the long-running YouTube series hosted by The Young Bucks, has come to an unceremonious end.

Yesterday, it was reported that Being The Elite would be impacted by The Young Bucks’ major character shift as of late. Specifically, it was noted that the show would be going on hiatus for the foreseeable future as the duo are set to create a new heel faction with Brandon Cutler and potentially Colt Cabana.

The move stems from The Bucks’ loss to Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho in the co-main event of AEW Full Gear last weekend. After the match, the former AEW World Tag Team Champions threw a tantrum and have not appeared on the promotion’s programming since.

However, it has now come to light that Being The Elite’s hiatus will, in fact, be permanent. Dave Meltzer has now reported that the show is “actually done” and there are currently no plans for it to return whatsoever.

This means that episode 368, which was uploaded on October 9th, will mark the show’s final episode after seven and a half years. It seems as though the Being The Elite channel will remain active, however, as miscellaneous videos featuring various AEW talents have been uploaded there in recent weeks.

When Did Being The Elite First Start?

The first episode of Being The Elite was uploaded on the 5th of May 2016 and featured Nick Jackson vlogging about their recent lengthy travels for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Ring of Honor events.

The show would go on to play a pivotal role in the independent careers of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page, and Adam Cole as well as AEW as its 132nd episode featured the reveal of the promotion itself.
