Ex-WWE Star Bets Their Career On CM Punk Not Returning At Survivor Series

A former Intercontinental Champion is so confident that CM Punk will not return to WWE tonight that they’ve put their career on the line!

With WWE Survivor Series in Chicago just hours away, speculation on CM Punk potentially returning to WWE is at an all-time high. The latest word is that talks between WWE and CM Punk are “dead” but CM Punk is said to have claimed that he spoke to a WWE higher-up recently.

To put it simply, it looks highly unlikely that Punk will make his WWE return at the Premium Live Event tonight as things stand. This is a belief shared by former Intercontinental Champion Ryback who is so confident Punk is not returning that he has put his career on the line!

Taking to X, the ex-WWE star announced yesterday that if Punk returns at Survivor Series, he will officially retire from professional wrestling entirely. However, it’s key to note that Ryback hasn’t wrestled in over five years and has seemingly already retired without officially announcing as such.

Don’t Expect CM Punk To Appear At WWE Survivor Series Tonight

At the time of writing, CM Punk is not expected to appear at Survivor Series in any capacity, though WWE remains open to him returning down the line.

The only factor that reportedly has the power to change the company’s mind is said to be a significant response from fans wanting Punk’s return as the company does not want to be seen as not delivering what the fans want.

Hell did indeed freeze over at Survivor Series as CM Punk did return to WWE. While most are happy about it, Ryback has criticised the return promo.
