AEW Star Set To Miss All In PPV Due To Recent Injury

Bandido vs Konosuke Takeshita on AEW Rampage

The main event of the June 16th edition of Rampage saw Bandido taking on Konosuke Takeshita.

Bandido threw everything he had at Takeshita in an action-packed match. This included a huge Moonsault to the outside and multiple escapes from Takeshita’s arsenal of big moves.

It wasn’t enough, though, as Don Callis‘ protege found an opening and ended the Mexican star’s hopes with two brutal Running Knees for the pinfall victory.

In the days following the show, Bandido revealed that he didn’t just lose the match, but also suffered a broken wrist in the process.

Bandido is set to miss AEW All In

The star said in a social media post that he has been informed the specific injury is to his triangular fibrocartilage complex. In a video later the same week, Bandido confirmed that he would need to undergo surgery.

Now, it has been confirmed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the injury will put him on the shelf for at least three months, meaning he will unfortunately miss All In on August 27th.

In an update in December 2023, Bandido revealed that he had undergone a second surgery on his wrist, adding to his injury time.

All In, which will take place in London’s Wembley Stadium, is set to be All Elite Wrestling’s biggest show so far, with the Observer reporting that 66,500 tickets have been sold, making it the largest paid attendance for a pro wrestling show since WrestleMania 32 back in 2016.

With it being the first wrestling event held in Wembley since SummerSlam in 1992, many had expected Davey Boy Smith Jr. would make an appearance in a nod to the main event match between his father, The British Bulldog, and Bret Hart.

However, it has been reported that there have been no talks between the two sides so far, and the ball is firmly in Tony Khan’s court.
