Seth Rollins has revealed why the backstage drama that led to CM Punk being released from AEW will never occur in WWE.

CM Punk recently made his shocking return to WWE following a two-year stint in AEW. While Punk found great on-screen success in the promotion, his AEW run will likely be remembered most for the drama that followed him there and led to two separate backstage altercations.

After his infamous verbal tirade during the post-All Out 2022 media scrum, Punk and close friend Ace Steel got into a brawl with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks of The Elite which led to Punk being suspended from the promotion for over nine months.

Just two months after his return in June, Punk was suspended once again following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry just moments before his ‘Real’ AEW World Championship defense against Samoa Joe at All In London. Less than a week after that incident, Punk’s AEW contract was terminated with cause.

Seth Rollins Is Confident CM Punk Drama Will Not Emerge In WWE

Speaking on SI Media With Jimmy Traina, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins claimed that the drama that surrounded Punk in AEW will not occur in WWE as those on the WWE roster are “a bunch of professionals.”

“It’s never going to get to that point. If anything goes south the way it did anywhere else, it’s not ever going to get to that point. This locker room is…we’re a bunch of professionals, for the most part, over here. We’re a bunch of professionals.

I don’t want to go too far into anything else, but it’s just not going to happen over here. There is going to be a line drawn in the sand, everything is going to be A OK, I feel very good about that.”
