Big E Wants To See Xavier Woods Become World Champion

The New Day WWE Kofi Kingston Big E Xavier Woods

Big E is pushing for Xavier Woods to get his moment in the sun.

Despite his popularity and being one of the most decorated tag team stars in recent WWE history, Xavier Woods continues to be underrated in the eyes of many. The New Day star is yet to enjoy a significant run as a singles star on the main roster and has never won singles gold.

The closest Woods has come is being crowned 2021 King of the Ring.

By contrast, both Big E and Kofi Kingston have climbed to the top of the WWE mountain, something that needs to change according to the New Day powerhouse. Speaking to Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, Big E said a big singles run for Woods is something the group has been pushing for.

“That’s something that, obviously, he’s so talented and something that we’ve been pushing for. He is a guy who, people know how talented he is, but I still feel in many ways he’s one of the most underrated guys on the roster. He’s still so incredible and so worthy and deserving. I always want the best things for both of partners. Woods is definitely a guy, I’d love to see him get a real run at a singles title. I know he’s been talking about the IC Title as of late, and going from there. I’d love to see him be a World Champion. He’s deserving.”

Recently Xavier Woods revealed that he is not cleared to wrestle following an injury he sustained on the August 28th episode of Raw.

Will Big E Ever Wrestle Again?

Big E hasn’t wrestled since suffering a serious neck injury in March 2022. Although he avoided surgery, his road to recovery has been a long one, and his career hangs very much in the balance.

Speaking in a recent interview, Big E revealed doctors had told him to never wrestle again, and he has no idea what the future holds.
