Samoa Joe Shares Memories Of Bray Wyatt

Samoa Joe AEW All In

Samoa Joe got the opportunity to commemorate Bray Wyatt and he praised the person that the late star was outside of the ring.

Ahead of his main event match with MJF at AEW Grand Slam on Wednesday, Samoa Joe fittingly spoke with The New York Post and was asked about his relationship with Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, who tragically passed away on August 24 following a cardiac arrest in his sleep. Joe noted that although Wyatt had his very own wrestling family, he welcomed others into his.

“I really think the thing that you will find universally with Windham was he was the type of person, when he walked in a room, it instantly brightened up. Once you’re his brother, you’re his brother for life and he’ll show up for whatever you need him to show up for. If you called and said, ‘I need you down here,’ lo and behold, a couple hours later you’ll see him pulling up in the driveway.”

Samoa Joe Speaks Highly Of The Whole Rotunda Family

Samoa Joe then noted how great of a family the entire Rotunda family was and that Bray Wyatt will always be missed by his pro wrestling brothers and sisters.

“Between Mike and Bo and his sister Mika they were all very involved in the business at certain points and time. Everybody has a tremendous amount of respect and love for them. I think if anything, the hurt was felt a little bit extra deep because of how many people were connected to both Windham and his family. To see him gone now, it just doesn’t seem real. I miss him every day.”

Still reigning as the ROH Television Champion, Samoa Joe has recently broken an 8-year record.
