Seth Rollins & CM Punk Finally Meet Face-To-Face WWE Raw

Seth Rollins stood opposite CM Punk for the first time in nearly a decade.

Rollins has not been shy about his feelings towards Punk in 2023, calling the returning star a cancer back in January and hitting back at chants at live events. While some of Rollins’ behaviour has been somewhat exaggerated for the storyline, many have still been highly anticipating the inevitable promo battle between The Visionary and The Best In The World, hoping that real-life issues would be addressed. On the December 11th episode of Raw, the fans’ wishes were granted.

Announced ahead of time was a segment where Punk would decide which brand he would sign with. Following a brief tease and an apology for walking out 10 years ago, the former AEW World Champion made his decision and signed with Raw. As soon as the contract was signed, the music of Rollins hit, much to the delight of the live crowd in Cleveland, Ohio.

Following an extended staredown, Rollins finally addressed the subject of his anger. The World Heavyweight Champion took offence at Punk calling WWE his home as he abandoned the company and continued to slander it over the past decade. If there was any doubt about Rollins’ feelings, the World Heavyweight Champion spelt it out to Punk with 3 words, “I hate you.” Making it even more personal, Rollins addressed the fact that Punk’s return is his last chance and Punk will either self-destruct verbally or physically, as Rollins claimed that he would wrestle circles around the former World Champion.

Punk, who stood silently as he was berated by Rollins, issued his response, first stating that Rollins’ tirade was his one pass to say those things without being issued with a receipt. Punk would continue, declaring that he will enter the Royal Rumble and will specifically target Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship when he wins.

Why Does Seth Rollins Hate CM Punk?

The Visionary would let his feelings be known during a recent interview, where he detailed his issues with Punk and why he was so angry at the surprise return at Survivor Series. Seth Rollins would describe CM Punk as “selfish” and would detail the animosity at length.

In recent news, Seth Rollins has shared his thoughts on how he would perform on Celebrity Jeopardy.
