Tony Khan Clarifies CJ Perry’s AEW Status

CJ Perry showed up in AEW in order to help her husband Miro, but will she be around for the forseeable future?

During the AEW All Out post-show media scrum, Tony Khan commented on the former Lana finally making her debut in AEW after Miro has referenced his wife several times on-air since being with the company. He also made clear that Perry isn’t inked for anything too lengthy.

“I think it’s great to have CJ here. It’s not a long-term guarantee or anything, but at least for tonight, it was great to have her appearing with us. I thought it was a great surprise.”

CJ Perry Hasn’t Been Seen In Wrestling Since WWE

CJ Perry has remained unseen on a mainstream wrestling product since she was released from WWE on June 2, 2021. Perry stood alongside her Bulgarian Brute of a husband as Lana while the two were in WWE together.

She simply started out as a powerful manager/valet before WWE had an interest in suiting her up for in the ring. Her in-ring career kicked off in a big way as she made her wrestling debut at WrestleMania 32, even though she lost in tag action.

Perry even while off of television, has been a big supporter of Miro, including times where she expressed her own frustatin at in how his persona was positioned in the past with AEW.

Perry has stayed buys by opening her own exclusive content site over a year ago and has updated it as recent as this past Saturday.
