Liv Morgan Facing More Injury Problems

Rhea Ripley attacks Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan looks to be injured yet again.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan could be set for another spell on the sidelines less than a month after returning to action.

Morgan initially suffered a shoulder injury in a match on May 12th, and there were fears she could miss the entire summer. However, the star was back on SmackDown on June 23rd and won the Women’s Tag Team Titles with Raquel Rodriguez at Money In The Bank. Not that their run with the gold was to last.

On July 17th, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles after Rhea Ripley attacked Rodriguez. A week later, Morgan swore revenge for her injured friend and was scheduled to take on the Women’s World Champion.

However, the match was over before it began with Ripley attacking Morgan while she was making her entrance. Ripley threw Morgan into the barricade shoulder first and then wrapped her arm in a chair before repeatedly stamping on it. Backstage Morgan was shown crying as a medic assessed her.

Liv Morgan Suffers Another Shoulder Injury

It has since been reported that the injury might be legitimate, although it’s the opposite shoulder to the one she injured in May.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez attempted to get to the bottom of the situation.

“[Meltzer] It was pretty clear. I mean, they don’t do an angle like that, that was a real hardcore angle. Obviously, she’s had the shoulder injury, so I don’t know if it.

[Alvarez] My understanding is that it is the other shoulder.

[Meltzer] Ok, it was the left shoulder they hurt. [Alvarez] It was the left one they hurt in storyline, but whichever one she hurt last time, I think she actually hurt the other one this time.”
