Matt Riddle Seemingly Drunk During JFK Airport Incident [Video]

Video footage of the JFK Airport incident involving Matt Riddle, which appears to show the ex-WWE star in a drunken state, has been released.

The former United States Champion recently confirmed his departure from WWE, just weeks after he was at the center of an incident at JFK Airport. After traveling back from India on September 9th, Riddle was confronted by officers over disorderly behavior but was eventually free to go without charge.

Afterward, however, he accused one of the officers of sexual assault in a post on Instagram. Riddle deleted the post shortly after but the accusation has caused the Port Authority to launch an ongoing internal investigation, despite the organisation being “shocked” and feeling nothing happened to warrant such an allegation.

Now, TMZ has released footage of Riddle’s behavior at the airport. The video shows the former UFC fighter in a seemingly intoxicated state and a witness who spoke to the outlet described him as being “incredibly obnoxious” and “extremely loud and rude” whilst waiting for his delayed flight to Orlando, Florida.

At one point, Riddle is seen grabbing the microphone from his gate’s front desk and playfully asking if any of the other passengers waiting could fly the plane instead, albeit in a disruptive manner. After a few seconds, a nearby flight attendant managed to wrestle the microphone back from the former star.

Several Wrestling & MMA Companies Are Interested In Matt Riddle

In yesterday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that both pro wrestling and MMA organisations have expressed interest in Matt Riddle following his WWE departure.

Meltzer specifically named the Professional Fighters League and Bare Knuckle Boxing in terms of MMA promotions whilst IMPACT Wrestling is said to be interested alongside “most pro wrestling companies of any size” on the wrestling side.
